upcoming, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 2010 Winter Olympic Games
have received more star power. Shania Twain,
Canadian music superstar,
has been chosen to carry the Olympic Torch during part of the Olympic
Games Torch Relay for the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 2010
Winter Olympic Games. According to Ms. Twain's website, she will
carry
the Olympic Games Torch through her hometown of Timmins, Ontario, on
January 1, 2010.
During the course of the Olympic Games Torch Relay, for the Vancouver,
British Columbia, Canada 2010 Winter Olympic Games, the
torch will pass through hundreds of "hometowns", but, thanks to
Ms. Twain's participation, the Olympic torch's journey through Timmins
will be even more memorable.
In response to being chosen to carry the torch for the
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 2010 Winter Olympic Games, Ms. Twain
has said she is "... proud ... [and looks] ... forward to sharing
... [her] ... pride with ... [her] ... hometown and fellow Canadians
... we are all proud of our country's chance to host the upcoming ... [

Twain further stated that carrying the torch, for the Vancouver,

the most memorable experiences..." of her life.
Participating in the Torch Relay, for the Vancouver, British Columbia,
Canada 2010 Winter Olympic Games, may be especially important to Ms.
Twain, at this time in her life. Ms. Twain's 15 year marriage,
apparently, ended in 2008, and the unfortunate circumstances of that
break-up were given much coverage in the media. The Vancouver, British
Columbia, Canada 2010 Winter Olympic Games Torch Relay would appear to coincide, nicely, with Ms. Twain's, apparent, comeback, after the
aforementioned struggles in her personal life.

Winter Olympic Games takes place. On that day, the last person to carry
the Torch during the Relay will use the Torch to light the
flame in the cauldron of the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 2010
Winter Games stadium.
The Timmins part of the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 2010 Winter Olympic Games Torch Relay will, reportedly, follow a course starting in Porcupine and heading westerly.
According to Al Richardson, Timmins Police torch run organizer, "the torch will wind its way westbound ... to our Olympic flame celebration at ... Hollinger Park".
Shania Twain will carry the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 2010 Winter Olympic Games Torch, 300 metres, to a cauldron she will light using the Olympic Games Torch.
